Terms of Use
Effective October 24, 2026
These terms apply to your use of Tax Planning for All (the “site”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Estimates only, not advice
Tax Planning for All is a free planning tool that produces estimates of U.S. federal income tax from the information you enter, using 2026 federal rules as we understand them. It is not tax, legal, accounting or investment advice, and using it does not create a professional relationship of any kind. Estimates can be wrong or incomplete: they depend on your inputs, on simplifying assumptions described in the site, and on rules that may change. State and local taxes are not included. Review any decision with a qualified tax professional before acting on it.
2. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for checking any amounts read from your documents, for confirming your eligibility for any strategy, and for the decisions you make. Strategy descriptions are general illustrations, not recommendations for your situation.
3. Ownership and permitted use
The site, including its software, calculations, text, design and arrangement, is owned by Tax Planning for All and protected by copyright and other laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. You may use the site for your own personal planning, and you may print or download your own results.
You may not, without our prior written permission:
- copy, reproduce, republish, mirror or distribute the site or its software, in whole or in part;
- modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works based on the site or its software;
- decompile, de-minify, disassemble or otherwise reverse engineer the software, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction;
- sell, license, rent or offer the site or a substantially similar service built from its software or content to others;
- use automated means to scrape or harvest the site's content or calculation logic; or
- remove or alter any copyright, license or proprietary notice.
4. Third-party components
The site includes open-source components, including PDF.js and Tesseract.js, which are distributed under the Apache License 2.0. Those components are governed by their own licenses, copies of which are delivered with the site. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licenses with respect to those components.
5. Feedback
If you send feedback, you allow us to use your suggestions to improve the site without obligation to you. Please do not include tax figures or personal identifiers in feedback.
6. No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or up to date with every change in tax law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tax Planning for All and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any tax, penalty, interest, lost profit or lost savings, arising from or related to your use of, or reliance on, the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is zero.
8. Changes and availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue the site, or update these terms, at any time. The updated terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Contact
